Site, Blog, RSS, etc
Instead of using the default “My Website” anchor text links in your LinkedIn profile, you can make them look more appealing and even more descriptive by changing the anchor text for your reader.
This is likely to generate more clicks on your website links that you display on your LinkedIn profile.
Think outside of the box. Don’t just use default settings.
For example, if you want to include a link to your blog, rather than choosing LinkedIn’s standard “Personal Website” anchor text, select “Other”. LinkedIn will then give you an additional field where you can key in anything you like.. like “I’ll Build Your Business”. You’re allowed up to 30 characters for this field.. use them well 🙂
Although LinkedIn only allows each profile to display up to 3 websites, they do allow you to customize all of them, so go have a little bit of fun! Aside from the usual company website site, you can even include your personal site, blog, rss feed, etc.
Here’s to making you look good!
